★ Nahele means forest in Hawaiian. All paints in this set are inspired by plants and flowers that can only be found in forests on the Hawaiian islands and nowhere else in the world. Nahele is a dark cobalt green and super granulates.

★ A note on granulation: the more rough the paper you use is, the better the granulation. Also, use plenty of water for best granulating effects. Papers that I've tried and that I think work well with these paints: Canson Heritage, Shizen handmade paper, Khadi handmade paper, Baohong cold press, Hahnemühle Agave. 
 
★ ALOHA WATERCOLORS are handmade with Organic Hawaiian honey, glycerine, Acacia sap (gum arabic) and artist grade pigments. Nahele is mulled by hand for a minimum of 45 minutes and poured and dried 3 times. The process takes about 3 weeks.
